Mumbai : Nawab Malik a minister in the Maharashtra government, has been arrested by the ED in a money laundering case. It is being told that this morning the ED officials raided the house of Nawab Malik, then took some documents and took him to the office. where he was interrogated. ED officials say that the matter is also related to Underworld. Malik was unable to give satisfactory answers to many questions.
According to the information received, from Wednesday morning, the ED officials had raided the house of Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik this morning, then took some documents and took him to the office. where he was interrogated. ED sources say that Nawab Malik could not give satisfactory answers to many questions, due to which he was arrested by the ED. There is a possibility that he can be produced in the court today.
Talking to media personnel when ED officials were taking him from the hospital after medical examination, Nawab Malik said that this is a political conspiracy. We will fight and we will win. Amid the escalating war of words between Maharashtra’s Maha Vikas Aghadi government and the Centre, state minister Nawab Malik was taken for questioning at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office this morning. Officials of the central probe agency reached the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader’s house at 6 am where he was questioned for an hour. After this he was brought to the ED office at 7.30 am.
Officials had told news agency PTI that 62-year-old minister Malik was summoned by the ED in a money laundering case related to the activities of the Mumbai underworld, fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his associates.
