Kolkata: Shatrughan Sinha will be TMC candidate from Asansol Lok Sabha seat, Assembly ticket to Babul
Kolkata: Trinamool Congress has announced the names of candidates for the West Bengal bypolls. In this, former Union Minister and well-known actor Shatrughan Sinha has been given ticket for the Lok Sabha by-election from Asansol. At the same time, Babul Supriyo has been given a chance for the assembly by-election from Ballygunge.
Mamta Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress has announced the names of candidates for the West Bengal by-elections today. Former Union Minister Shatrughan Sinha will contest the Lok Sabha bypoll from Asansol while Babul Supriyo will be the candidate for the Assembly bypoll from Ballygunge. Let us inform that the Lok Sabha seat of Bengal had fallen vacant after the resignation of Babul Supriyo, due to which the by-election has to be held here. Apart from this, the Ballygunge assembly seat has fallen vacant after the death of TMC leader Subrata Mukherjee, after which by-elections will now be held here as well.
By-elections to one Lok Sabha and four assembly seats in Bengal are to be held on April 12. Politics has once again heated up with the election of these two veterans. This time it will be seen whether BJP gets success in these seats or TMC. After seeing the performance of TMC in the recent elections, it seems that Shatrughan Sinha can win this time. At the same time, Babul Supriyo has also been given a safe seat. The bypoll has been announced here after the death of TMC leader Subrata Mukherjee.
