Malappuram : Metro Man E Sreedharan announced his retirement from politics, saying that the defeat in the assembly elections has made him wiser. 90-year-old Sreedharan gave this information while addressing journalists in his native town Ponnani in Malappuram district on Thursday. However, the BJP’s state unit is unhappy with the announcement of his retirement from active politics.

Addressing reporters on Thursday, Metro Man E Sreedharan said, “The assembly election defeat made me wiser. It made me sad when I lost, but now I realize that even if I won, I would have done nothing.” I was never a politician, I remained a bureaucratic politician for some time.” He said that his entry into politics was late and it was not too late to exit. and now I will spend the rest of my time with him.” Asked whether he was leaving the political field with regrets of the defeat, he said when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in March 2021, there were enough prospects for the party but now the situation is different.
“The party will have to do a lot to establish a foothold in the state,” he said. I had mentioned this in my report to the party president after the election defeat. I don’t want to discuss those things right now.”
