All the terrorists belonged to Jaish and Lashkar Tanzeem. The police gave this information on Sunday. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar said the terrorists killed in the encounter were linked to Pakistan-based terror outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. Kumar said Jaish commander Zahid Wani and a Pakistani terrorist were also among those killed. He called it a big success for the security forces. The encounter had started from Saturday.

According to the police sources, the presence of terrorists was found in Naira area of ​​​​Pulwama in South Kashmir. Acting immediately, the security forces had launched a cordon-search operation there, while the terrorists opened fire. LeT terrorist was killed in an encounter in Budgam while incriminating material including an AK-56 rifle has been recovered from the spot. Another encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in Charar-e-Sharif area of ​​Budgam district.
