Delhi : Due to PM Modi’s personnel intervention 7 out of 8 former navy veterans returned back to India from Qatar
New Delhi : it’s huge diplomatic success for the Indian Government. Once again the successful diplomacy of the Indian Government was seen in the world. Eight former Indian Navy officers working in Qatar have been released, out of which seven have returned home safely. All the former officers who returned to India gave full credit to the Modi government for this.
That all these former officers were arrested on charges of espionage, after which a Qatar court sentenced them to death. At the same time, after the intervention of Modi government, the death sentence was reduced to life imprisonment and today, after the successful foreign policy of the government, Qatar released 8 former officials safely.
Prime Minister Modi had met Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the COP28 summit in Dubai. Bilateral partnership and the welfare of Indians living in Qatar were also discussed. Apart from this, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval had also repeatedly raised this issue with Qatar.
The result of this is that after 18 months, 8 former Indian officers were able to return to their country on Monday. However, this is not the first time that the Modi government’s diplomacy has won. During its tenure, the Government of India has brought Indian citizens back home safely through many rescue operations. In the last nine years, the Ministry of External Affairs has safely evacuated thousands of people from war-torn countries under several operations.
Ita very important that, PM Modi himself was keeping a close eye on this campaign. Finally got success. Pic Credit: India Today
