In Kerala’s NEET Center, Girl Students were asked to remove their Bras, Complaint filed

Thiruvananthapuram : An unusual incident happened during NEET exam in Kerala. Parents were furious after girls appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) were asked to remove their innerwear at an examination center here on Sunday.
An angry parent, whose daughter had to undergo this test at the center in Ayur, 60 km from Thiruvananthapuram, said on Monday that what happened was completely unacceptable and they had no option but to complain. Father of the girl said, we dropped her at the examination center around 12 noon and later we were asked by the examination authorities to give her a shawl. It was only after she came out after the examination that we came to know what had happened. that she had some metallic object in her innerwear which they detected during the screening. She and several other girl students were asked to remove such innerwear and only then they were allowed to take the exam.
The parents said that all the candidates who had to undergo such humiliation were under immense pressure and they were unable to perform well because of this insensitive behavior of the central authorities. NSUI’s state wing president K.M. Abhijeet said that appropriate action should be taken against the wrongdoers, while the students after hearing about the incident took out a protest march towards the institution where the incident took place.
The college organization has turned on the backfoot after the incident and has blamed the agency conducting the examination for what happened. The local police have also started investigation after the complaint was registered.
