On the other hand, the Punjab Government reached the High Court against the detention of its team in Kurukshetra and filed a habeas corpus petition. During the hearing, the Punjab Government appealed to the High Court not to hand over Bagga to the Delhi Police and keep him in Haryana. However, the High Court turned down this request. The Punjab Police said that Bagga was served five notices to join the investigation under Section 41A of the Criminal Penal Code. The notices were duly served on 9th, 11th, 15th, 22nd and 28th April. Still he did not join the investigation. Under the legal process, Bagga was arrested from his house.

This is vendetta politics: BJP

The BJP termed Bagga’s arrest as illegal. Said that AAP’s convener Arvind Kejriwal is doing politics of vendetta. The AAP claimed that Bagga was caught by the Punjab Police for trying to incite violence. There is no case of retaliation.

At the same time, PS Bagga, father of Tajinder Singh Bagga, told that, the police officers started dragging Tajinder, they did not allow him to wear a turban, it is against our religious principles. We have asked Punjabi brothers to raise their voice against this. In the end Tajinder is back, it is the victory of truth.

This is the Matter-

The Punjab Police had last month registered a case against Bagga for making provocative statements, promoting enmity and making criminal intimidation. The police had registered a case against Bagga on the complaint of AAP leader Sunny Ahluwalia. According to this, on March 30, Bagga took part in the protest outside the CM residence in Delhi and made objectionable remarks.
