Rishikesh: Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Government Pushkar Singh Dhami has given clear instructions that the Chardham Yatra should be smooth, well-organized, and safe and work should be done on this arrangement so that the passengers and local stakeholders do not face any problem. In line with the instructions of the Chief Minister, Commissioner Garhwal Division Vinay Shankar Pandey held a meeting with the stakeholders, stakeholders and officials of the concerned departments related to the Chardham Yatra district related to the Chardham Yatra at the Yatra Transit Camp Rishikesh and heard the problems of the stakeholders and suggestions were received regarding making the Chardham Yatra smooth and well-organized.

In the meeting organized under the chairmanship of Commissioner Garhwal Division, discussions were held regarding the registration of passengers for Chardham Yatra routes and Dhams. Facility based on the number of passengers staying in hotels, dharamshalas, guest houses located on the travel routes and Dhams, tour and travel companies operating in Chardham Yatra, adequate facilities in the interest of pilgrim priests in the Dhams, maintaining transparency in the arrangements for providing darshan to the pilgrims in the Dhams, facility for passengers to stay in hotels, dharamshalas, waiting rooms in Rishikesh and Haridwar, expected works from the Tourism Department/Tourism offices located in the districts on the travel routes, discussions and suggestions were obtained on the works of Shri Gangotri-Yamunotri Temple Committee, discussions were held with local stakeholders, businessmen to make the Yatra smooth, safe and organized and their suggestions were also obtained.

Commissioner Garhwal Division said that Chardham Yatra is an important Yatra of Uttarakhand as well as the whole of India, the first phase of the Yatra has ended, the number of pilgrims increases from the first week of September, and September and October are important for the Yatra. The journey should be made more smooth in some way from the experiences of past journeys and this journey. All the aspects were discussed. It was said that the Chief Minister has given clear instructions that the pilgrims and local stakeholders should not face any kind of problem during the Chardham Yatra and no one’s interests should be affected. Commissioner Garhwal Division said that the problems and suggestions of the stakeholders have been noted and after discussions with the secretaries of the concerned departments, all the issues will be placed before the Chief Minister and a decision will be taken on them as early as possible.
