In a move that has surprised many, Gujarat Education Minister Jitu Vaghani has said that the Bhagavad Gita will be taught to students of classes 6 to 12. According to reports, the reason behind making Bhagavad Gita a mandatory part of the school syllabus is to promote &#8216;Indian culture and knowledge system&#8217;. The move is expected to be implemented in schools in Gujarat from the upcoming academic year 2022-23.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4569 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalvani.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/BG2-300x182.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"182\" \/> According to news agency ANI, Education Minister Vaghani has said that Bhagavad Gita will be introduced in parts. This sacred text will be introduced in the form of story and text in the text books for classes 6 to 8. For classes 9 to 12, it will be introduced in the form of story and text in a first language text book.
