During the visit, he paid humble homage to the immortal martyr at his birthplace, bowed to the sacred soil, and pledged to develop the ancestral home into a grand museum and a site of inspiration. The Garhwal MP also discussed the museum project with Baba Jaswant Singh&#8217;s family members; they not only consented to the proposal but also appreciated Anil Baluni&#8217;s initiative.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10132\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10132\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10132 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalvani.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/erwe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"305\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10132\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Baba jaswant singh rawat (File)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ancestral home to be restored and transformed into a museum\u2014<br \/>\nMP Anil Baluni noted that the ancestral home of Baba Jaswant Singh\u2014who displayed indomitable courage while defending the nation&#8217;s borders\u2014is currently in a dilapidated state. He announced that the restoration of this historic site would be undertaken on a priority basis and that it would be established as a modern museum dedicated to the life and valor of Baba Jaswant Singh. Baluni said, &#8220;Baba Jaswant Singh Ji&#8217;s village, Badiyun, is not merely a village but a pilgrimage site of patriotism. It will be developed into a prominent memorial dedicated to the nation&#8217;s brave martyrs, allowing visitors from across the country and abroad to witness the extraordinary valour of this &#8216;NEFA Hero&#8217; and pay their respects. His sacrifice will continue to inspire future generations to serve the nation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is noteworthy that Baba Jaswant Singh Rawat enlisted in the 4 Garhwal Rifles on August 19, 1960, at the young age of 19. During the 1962 war, he displayed unprecedented bravery at Nuranang in Arunachal Pradesh (then NEFA) at the age of just 21. Holding the front single-handedly for three days under adverse conditions, he eliminated approximately 300 enemy soldiers before making the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the motherland. He was posthumously awarded the &#8216;Mahavir Chakra&#8217; for his indomitable courage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Overnight stay among villagers and public interaction\u2014<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, during his two-day organizational and regional tour, MP Baluni extensively visited the Chaubattakhal and Lansdowne assembly constituencies. He held meetings with party workers to discuss organizational matters and listened to local public grievances. Connecting with the community, MP Baluni spent the night in Gadri village, Chaubattakhal. During this time, he engaged in heartfelt conversations with the villagers, shared a meal with them, and participated in local cultural programs.
