New Delhi :Indian Foreign Minister Dr. Jaishankar’s Blunt Response to Questions on Pakistan’s Mediation in the Iran Conflict…A heated exchange unfolded between the government and the opposition during an all-party meeting convened to discuss the ongoing tensions in West Asia. During the proceedings, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar referred to Pakistan as a “broker nation.” He stated in unequivocal terms that India is not a broker nation like Pakistan. His remarks were directed at Pakistan’s alleged mediation efforts in the ongoing conflict. According to sources, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar observed that there is nothing new about Pakistan’s attempts to mediate in this matter, noting that the United States has been utilizing that country for this purpose since as far back as 1981.
