Varanasi: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday participated in the Good Governance Conference (Council of Chief Ministers) organized under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi. On this occasion, a presentation was made by the state at Uttarakhand Home Stay as per the best practice.

During the presentation, it was informed that special attention is being paid to home stays in the state with the objective of providing self-employment opportunities, developing new tourist places, acquainting the tourists with the culture of the state and preventing migration. Under Home Stay, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Home Stay Scheme, Trekking Traction Center Home Stay Grant Scheme is being run in the state. It is mandatory to register the homestay under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Home Stay Scheme. Capital assistance up to Rs.15 lakh and interest subsidy up to Rs.1.50 lakh has been given to the beneficiary. Provision has been made for 100% reimbursement of State GST for 5 years.

There are more than 3700 home stays registered in the state. 14.53 crore capital assistance has been disbursed. More than 8 thousand jobs have been created through this scheme. Grading by the state government to home stay operators for development of tourism infrastructure in villages, advertisement of home stays on private website, online promotion through government website, free training, free participation in travel marts and quality assessment. Facilities are being provided.

There is a provision of financial grant for the Trekking Traction Center Home Stay Grant Scheme being run with the aim of preventing migration from marginal areas and promoting mountaineering activities in the state. Under this scheme, a grant of 3.20 crore has been approved to 120 beneficiaries till October 2021. During the Good Governance Conference, presentation was also made on behalf of Uttarakhand on Atal Ayushman Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), PM Street Vendor Self-Reliant Fund Scheme and Swamitva Scheme.

During the presentation, it was informed that 45.22 lakh Ayushman cards have been issued in the state under Atal Ayushman Yojana. The cards are being distributed free of cost. The payments are being made to the hospitals within a week. For redressal of complaints, 155368 toll free call center facility and 10 percent incentive money is being paid in addition to package rates for the hospitals of hilly areas.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), 12662 beneficiaries were selected in Phase-I under the target received from the Government of India, against which 12427 houses have been completed. In Phase-II, a target has been received from the Government of India to build 16472 houses, on which action is in progress. Under this scheme, additional assistance of Rs. 5 thousand per beneficiary is being given by the state government to the beneficiaries for the purchase of utensils. All the eligible landless families are being allotted land pattas by the state government. Electricity, water, road, drain facilities are being provided for the development of residential colonies.

B.L.C in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) The proceedings of 3802 houses under CLSS, 13287 under CLSS and 464 houses under AHP have been completed. The funds are being distributed to the beneficiaries through DBT. Geo-tagging of houses is being done. B.L.C. by State Govt. Under AHP, an additional grant of Rs. 50 thousand and Rs. 01 lakh is being given. Free land use change has been arranged. Arrangement has been made for free allotment of 50 square meters of Nazul land to the beneficiaries of PMAY. PM Under the Street Vendor Atmanirbhar Nidhi Yojana, out of 11543 approved applications, 10101 beneficiaries have been benefitted. Under this scheme, 02 percent additional interest subsidy is being given by the state government to the beneficiaries and exemption in stamp duty is being given.

Under the ownership scheme, 102291 records of 2409 villages have been prepared in the state. Out of which 98236 records have been distributed. Under this scheme, survey work has been completed in four districts Pauri Garhwal, Udham Singh Nagar, Haridwar and Dehradun, process of survey work is in progress in remaining districts.
