Uttarkashi: Nehru Institute of Mountaineering Uttarkashi will host the “National Sports Climbing Championship. 250 climbers from the country will participate in this championship.
From August 12 to August 14, the “National Sports Climbing Competition” will be held at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, located at a distance of 4 km from Uttarkashi district headquarters. will be organized. Colonel Amit Bisht, Principal of Nehru Mountaineering Institute said that this type of competition is being organized for the first time in Uttarakhand. It is a matter of pride for Uttarakhand. Teams will be selected for Asian and Olympics from this competition, 8 participants from Uttarakhand are involved in this national sports competition.
Out of which 5 participants are from Uttarkashi district. “A total of 7 teams of the country will participate in the National Sports Competition. While the National Sports Climbing Championship will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of the state, Pushkar Singh Dhami.
