UK: Ministers to Now Conduct Ground-Level Reviews of Schemes Through District-Wise Tours

Dehradun: Following a Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami convened a meeting with members of the Council of Ministers to discuss the effective implementation mechanisms for the state’s development works and public welfare schemes. The Chief Minister urged all ministers to regularly tour the districts, conduct on-site inspections of ongoing development schemes, and assess their actual progress. The Chief Minister stated that the government’s priority is to ensure the effective and time-bound implementation of schemes at the grassroots level. He emphasized that continuous monitoring of development works at the district level would not only enhance the quality of the schemes but also strengthen public trust. He instructed the ministers to engage in dialogue with the local administration, elected representatives, and common citizens to ascertain the actual status of the schemes. Declaring the swift resolution of public grievances as a top priority, the Chief Minister directed all departmental ministers to conduct regular and thorough reviews of their respective departments.
The Chief Minister also placed special emphasis on the need for better coordination among departments involved in construction activities. He noted that if departments such as Roads, Drinking Water, Energy, Irrigation, and Building Construction work in a coordinated manner, development projects can be completed within the stipulated timelines, thereby ensuring that the public receives benefits expeditiously. The Chief Minister affirmed that the state government is working with complete commitment to accelerate the pace of development in alignment with public expectations. He reiterated that the holistic and balanced development of the state remains the government’s core objective, and to this end, accountability is being ensured at every level—from policy formulation to implementation.
