    Rishikesh: The International Yoga Festival was formally inaugurated in the holy presence of Acharya Balkrishna, Patanjali Yoga Peeth. Acharya Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President of Parmarth Niketan and the inspiration behind the International Yoga Festival, Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati, Director of the International Yoga Festival, renowned drummer Shivmani, renowned singer Runa Rizvi, and yoga practitioners from over 80 countries across the globe gathered to pray for world peace. The International Yoga Festival held at Parmarth Niketan was inaugurated with the holy arrival of Acharya Balkrishna. The atmosphere became even more inspiring. He highlighted the importance of the ancient Indian traditions of yoga and Ayurveda, stating that a balanced coordination of both is essential for a healthy life. His inspiring thoughts introduced yoga practitioners from India and abroad to the depth of the Indian knowledge tradition. During the Ganga Aarti on the first day of the International Yoga Festival, world-renowned drummer Shivmani filled the atmosphere with his energetic beats, and Runa Rizvi resonated with the chant of Om Namah Shivay. Yoga practitioners from India and abroad swayed to their rhythm and music. The vibrant drum sounds filled the entire campus with a wonderful atmosphere of excitement and joy. The practitioners thoroughly enjoyed this unique confluence of music and yoga. Today’s Ganga Aarti was an experience of divine energy, rhythm, and spiritual bliss that mesmerized everyone and filled the atmosphere with joy.

Addressing the yoga seekers, Acharya Balkrishna said that today’s world is filled with unrest, but none of us wants unrest. Yet, for some reason, unrest persists in the world. He said that peace can never be born from unrest, and therefore, festivals like these are extremely important, which strive to establish peace amidst unrest. He said that on this auspicious occasion, you all have gathered together; here are Iran, Israel, Ukraine, and Russia. People from different countries, cultures, and ideologies have come together on one platform. This is the true power of yoga, which connects hearts and has the ability to weave all emotions into one thread. He said that if we want to understand the truth of life, we must become yogis. Coming here is the grace and arrangement of Mother Ganga. It is in our own hands to purify and sanctify this life. All of you are travelers on the right path, so continue to follow the path of yoga without getting distracted or panicking. He said that this is a divine and grand occasion, do not miss it. Swami Chidanand Saraswati congratulated Acharya Balkrishna on this auspicious occasion by presenting him a divine Rudraksha plant.
