Dehradun. A case has been registered against Dhanveer Singh Bisht—Deputy Education Officer and In-charge Block Education Officer, Doiwala, District Dehradun—under Case No. 07/2026, Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), at the Vigilance Sector Police Station, Dehradun.

On Wednesday, April 1st, the trap team of the Vigilance Sector, Dehradun, arrested the accused—Dhanveer Singh Bisht (son of Gindu Singh) and his co-accused, Pushpanjali (wife of Pankaj Sharma), residents of Lane No. 5, Dalanwala, Dehradun (currently associated with Uttaranchal Modern School, Gumaniwala, Rishikesh)—red-handed while they were accepting a bribe of ₹1 lakh from the complainant. The accused had demanded the said bribe in exchange for processing the payment of reimbursement bills for students studying at Ganga Valley Junior High School, Rishikesh, under the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act.
