UK : CM Dhami orders suspension of DIG Home Gaurd in uniform scam

Dehradun : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has ordered the immediate suspension of Director Home Guards (Deputy Commandant) Amitabh Srivastava for his alleged involvement in a scam related to the purchase of uniform materials in the Home Guards and Civil Defence Department and has directed the formation of a joint inquiry committee to investigate the matter.
The case is related to the procurement process of uniform materials for Home Guards during the financial years 2024-25 and 2025-26, in which allegations of financial irregularities in the tender process had surfaced. The report sent to the government by the Director General, Home Guards and Civil Defence, Dehradun, revealed a lack of transparency and violation of rules in the tender process.
Based on the recommendation of the Director General, CM Dhami has ordered the immediate suspension of the Deputy Commandant and directed the formation of a joint inquiry committee. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami clearly stated that the state government is working on a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and that no irregularity or corrupt practice will be tolerated at any level.
