UK : 8 Heli Companies will Operate this Year during Char Dham Yatra

Dehradun. As part of the preparations for the Char Dham Yatra-2026, and with the objective of providing pilgrims with a smooth and safe travel experience, the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) has successfully completed the selection process for the heli-shuttle service to Kedarnath Dham.
Through a transparent tendering process, a total of 08 helicopter operators have been selected, who will be deployed across various helipad centers.According to the Authority, the responsibility for operating services has been assigned to two operators from Guptkashi, four from Phata, and two from Sersi. Keeping the convenience of passengers in mind, one-way fares have also been fixed. The fare has been set at ₹6,077 per passenger for the journey from Guptkashi to Kedarnath, ₹4,840 from Phata, and ₹3,043 from Sersi. Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be applicable in addition to these rates.
Tickets for the heli-service can be booked online through the authorized ‘Heli Yatra’ portal of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). A convenience fee will also be charged separately during the booking process.The Authority has clarified that strict adherence to all safety and operational standards will be ensured throughout the journey, so that high-quality services can be provided to the pilgrims.This initiative is being regarded as a significant step towards making the Char Dham Yatra more organized, punctual, and convenient.
