Today’s Situation is dangerous for religion and spirituality…Guru can never be greater than God : Jaya Kishori

Muni ki Reti/Rishikesh: On Monday it was fourth day of IYF 2025. Famous, Hindu Religious Story teller Jaya Kishori reached among the Yog Practioners at Ganga Resort. The work of a Guru is to connect a person to God and not to himself, but today Gurus have started thinking of themselves more than God. This situation is dangerous for religion and spirituality. Guru can never be greater than God, it is a different matter that he is the one who shows the path to meet God. The above thoughts were expressed by story teller Jai Kishori on the fourth day of International Yoga Mahotsav organized under the joint aegis of Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation (GMVN) and Tourism Department. She said that nothing in the world is new, only the way of telling those things can be different and new. Guru only works to remove the layer of dust on that knowledge, the only thing is that the one who understands quickly should help others in understanding. Speaking on the equality of men and women, she said that the difference in the thinking of both is due to their upbringing. If boys and girls are given equal education and values in childhood, then the thinking of both can be the same. Just as a girl is advised to be humble, similarly if boys are also taught to be humble and tolerant towards others from childhood, then the crimes against women in the society can be reduced.

On the other hand, in the morning session, Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Joshi, Head of the Department of Yoga Science, Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, told the yoga participants about yoga therapy that yoga has been used as a therapy since ancient times. He said that our body is made up of three doshas, Vata, Pitta and Kapha. If these doshas get distorted, then the body becomes diseased. 80 types of diseases occur due to distortion of Vata, 40 types of diseases occur due to distortion of Pitta, and 20 types of diseases occur due to distortion of Kapha. He said that our body is made up of five great elements, Agni, Vayu, Aakash, Prithvi and Jal, if the quantity of these five great elements becomes unbalanced in the body, then the body becomes diseased. Through yoga therapy, we are able to balance the Pancha Mahabhutas in the body and remove the deficiencies inside the body. In the yoga hall, Yogini Usha Mata gave training on Iyengar disease to the yoga practitioners. She made the yoga trainees practice difficult yoga exercises to remain healthy. She said that yoga has an important place in a person’s life. By practicing yoga activities, we get rid of many incurable diseases. Yoga practice works as a Sanjeevani in maintaining the health of the body.
Yogi Dr. Amrit Raj of Arogyadham Retreat Wellness Rishikesh said that the main cause of diseases is wrong eating habits and behavior. He said that due to wrong eating habits and behavior, fatal diseases like cancer are destroying the precious lives of people. We should ban aluminum utensils for cooking.
