THDCIL Honored with National Awards for Excellent Use of Social Media

Rishikesh : THDC India Limited, a leading PSU in the power sector, was awarded first prize in the categories of ‘Best Use of Social Media in Corporate Campaigns’ and ‘Sustainable Development Report’ at the 47th All India Public Relations Conference-2025. These awards were presented by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) at the conference held at Hotel Emerald, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Sipan Kumar Garg, Chairman and Managing Director, congratulated the THDCIL team on this achievement and said that this recognition reflects the organization’s transparent, consistent, and results-oriented communication framework. Garg said that THDC’s strategic use of digital platforms and its focused communication on sustainability initiatives have helped the organization effectively tell its development story, including its strong commitment to clean energy and its pioneering efforts in India’s first 1000 MW Variable Speed Tehri Pumped Storage Plant. He added that such credible and responsible communication enhances stakeholder trust and strengthens THDC’s role in nation-building.
These awards were received on behalf of THDC India Limited by Dr. A. N. Tripathi, Chief General Manager (HR & Admin. and Central Communication). Dr. Tripathi said that this national recognition reflects a collective institutional effort and a structured approach towards responsible communication. He added that the corporation’s digital outreach is designed not just for visibility, but as a reliable medium for transparency, accountability, and continuous stakeholder engagement. This award recognizes THDC’s effective use of social media, through which the company shares its organizational achievements, project milestones, sustainability initiatives, and public interest information, along with a comprehensive and transparent sustainable development report that reflects the organization’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments, thereby enhancing its corporate reputation and reach.
