CM Dhami announced to increase the price of early varieties of sugarcane to Rs 355 per quintal and that of common varieties to Rs 345 per quintal

Sitarganj : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced to increase the price of early varieties of sugarcane to Rs 355 per quintal and that of common varieties to Rs 345 per quintal.
On Monday, the crushing session of Farmers Co-operative Sugar Mills Ltd., which was closed for a long time in Sitarganj in Udham Singh Nagar was duly inaugurated by the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami by putting sugarcane in the conveyor. Along with this, Pratak Singh and Tarsem Singh, the sugarcane farmers of Sarkada were honored by wearing shawls. On this occasion, he announced to increase the price of early varieties of sugarcane to Rs 355 per quintal and for common varieties to Rs 345 per quintal.
Congratulating the farmers on the occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that today is a historic day for Sitarganj. A new chapter of development is beginning with the commencement of the crushing season of Sitarganj Kisan Sahakari Sugar Mill. In future, electricity and ethanol will also be produced from this sugar mill. He said that the State Government and the Central Government are always working to make the farmers modern and prosperous. We were always with the farmers and will stand with the farmers in future also. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has special concern about Uttarakhand, soon another AIIMS is going to open in Uttarakhand so that people can get all the medical facilities like AIIMS. He said that with the cooperation of the Central Government, approval has been given for Kichha to Khatima rail line and Tanakpur to Bageshwar railway line as well as Jamrani dam project has also been approved. He said that keeping in view the geographical location, different agricultural schemes are being prepared for the hill and plain farmers. Plans are being made by the state government for every section, every area. A roadmap is being prepared for Uttarakhand to be made the best state in the country by 2025. So far more than 400 decisions have been taken, whose mandate has also been issued. He told that Asha, Anganwadi, Upanal, State Agitator, Gram Panchayat, Kshetra Panchayat, District Panchayat, Food Mothers, PRD. Considering the demands of the soldiers etc., their honorarium was increased. He said those whose demands have been left out, they will also be fulfilled soon.
Chief Minister said that under the new sports policy, all the expenses of such sports persons who have the ability and potential would be borne by the state government. He told that the children who have become orphans in the epidemic are being given an amount of Rs 3000 per month under Vatsalya Yojana and the cost of education is being met by the state government. Mahalaxmi kits of essential items are being given to mothers of newborns. Single window system has been started for employment and job fairs are being organized so that the unemployed do not have to wander for employment. People’s suggestions have been sought through public domain to formulate a new mining policy. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also announced to increase the corpus fund of Namo Shudra of Bengali community and the corpus fund of Sant Kesar Singh Scholarship from 2 crores to 4 crores.
Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry Minister Swami Yatheeswaranand said that the State Government had taken a resolution to run this sugar mill which was closed for a long time, that resolution was fulfilled today. He said that our government is with the farmers. He told that the sugarcane farmers of Sitarganj, Nanakmatta and Khatima would be benefited by the opening of this sugar mill. He told that the state government has made the payment of sugarcane on time and it will be done in future also.
He said that in the past years, the price of sugarcane of normal variety was Rs 317 per quintal and the price of sugarcane of early varieties was Rs 327 per quintal. According to the announcement made by the Chief Minister, now the price of sugarcane of normal species has become Rs. 345 per quintal and the price of sugarcane of early species is Rs. 355 per quintal, which is Rs. 5/- per quintal more than that of Uttar Pradesh. In the last years, farmers had to pay the sugarcane freight of ₹ 11 per quintal on the purchase of sugarcane from the purchasing centers, which will have to be paid only ₹ 9.50 per quintal as of today’s announcement.
On this occasion, thanking the Chief Minister Dhami, regional MLA Saurabh Bahuguna congratulated the farmers. He said that today is a very auspicious day for Sitarganj, Nanakmatta and Khatima. He said that efforts would be made to make this sugar mill more modern in future. On this occasion, former Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said that Chief Minister Dhami took care of the sentiments of the farmers of the area. He said that whatever work is possible is being done.
