Rishikesh: A religious and spiritual event of the sacred worship of Tulsi Mata was held with devotion and proper rituals at Shri Swaminarayan Ashram, Ganga Aarti Ghat on December 25, 2025. A large number of devotees participated in this program organized on the banks of the Ganges and received the blessings of Tulsi Mata. On this auspicious occasion, Praveen Bhai Lad Ji, Anjana Lad Ji, Rishiraj Sunil Bhagat Ji, Acharya Gangaram Ji, and Bhakti Swami Ji were specially present and participated in the Tulsi Puja. The worship of Tulsi Mata was performed with Vedic chanting, lighting of lamps, and offering of flowers. During the program, the Shri Swaminarayan Ashram Ganga Aarti Ghat resonated with a devotional atmosphere due to the singing of hymns and devotional songs.

Regarding health, it was explained that in Ayurveda, Tulsi is considered a life-giving medicine. Tulsi is beneficial in boosting immunity, and in treating colds, coughs, fever, stress, and respiratory diseases. Regular consumption of basil (Tulsi) helps in keeping both the body and mind healthy. At the end of the program, all the devotees collectively performed the aarti (ritual of worship) of Mother Tulsi and prayed for world peace, human welfare, and a healthy society. The ashram management stated that the objective of such events is to create awareness in society about Indian culture, spiritual life, health, and environmental protection. This Tulsi worship ceremony proved to be an inspiring event for all, a beautiful confluence of devotion, faith, and social consciousness.
