Rishikesh: “Tour Manager Training Program Launched”, Grand Ceremony Inaugurated by MLA Premchand Aggarwal

Rishikesh :  The Tour Manager Training Program, conducted by Vidya Society with the support of the Uttarakhand Tourism Department, was inaugurated on Thursday at Data Computer, Rishikesh by local MLA Premchand Agarwal.  Agarwal was present as the chief guest, while Poonam Chand, Additional Director of the Tourism Department, joined the program virtually as a special guest and wished the trainees .

The program was conducted by Vijay Tiwari (Vidya Society). A total of 40 trainees are participating in the training. Ketan Bhatt is providing the training as an instructor. Mukesh Agarwal, owner of Data Computer, Rishikesh, also attended the program. Chief Guest, Rishikesh MLA, Premchand Agarwal, said in his address, “Tourism is the soul of Uttarakhand. Such training programs provide youth with employment opportunities as well as an opportunity to understand the state’s culture and heritage. I am pleased that our youth are advancing professionally in the tourism sector.”

Special Guest, Poonam Chand, Additional Director of Tourism (speaking virtually), said, “The Uttarakhand Tourism Department aims to train local youth and provide them with self-employment and employment opportunities. This training will not only enhance the participants’ capabilities but will also promote quality tourism services in the state.” At the end of the program, all participants enthusiastically commenced their training, and the Vidya Society presented mementos to the guests on this occasion.  This training program is being organized in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Tourism Department and the Tourism and Hospitality Skills Council (THSC). This training was being conducted free of cost.
