Rishikesh ;(Manoj Rautela)  It has been fifty years since Swami Shankar Tilak Ji Maharaj performed his Upanayana Sanskar on this very day (24th March). Today was the day when Guru ji took initiation into Sanatan Dharma. On this occasion, Mahamandaleshwar, saints, mahatmas and his many disciples from across the India and  many other  countries were present and got blessings from him. Also, many other common people congratulated him and wished him well. On this occasion, the Sannyasa Deeksha Smriti Mahotsav of Swami Shankar Tilak Maharaj was celebrated, he is carrying forward the tradition of his Guru Maharaj.

Swami Ji’s disciple Swatantra Chaitanya at the Vedic Foundation Himalaya Yogalay Ashram said, today on 24th March our respected Sri Pujya Swami Shankartilaka Saraswati performed his Upanayana Sanskar and formally accepted his destiny as a Hindu, the first Gayatri Mantra, the first verse of the four Vedas, is recited several times. Received the sacred thread (Yajnopavita) and since then he has continuously fought for our beloved Sanatana Dharma. He has inducted more than 15,000 people into our tradition through the Upanayana rite of passage throughout the world, Europe and South America, as well as India, where his main ashram and residence is at Muni Ki Reti, Rishikesh. Swamiji maintains the tradition and teaching, as did Venerable Sri Swami Sivananda. He was born in Spain, but was exposed to Indian thinking since his first visit to India in 1976 at the hands of his revered Gurudev Shri Swami Tilak Paramahamsa.

On this occasion, Mahamandaleshwar and other saints said that in today’s environment, Swami Shankar Tilak Maharaj is carrying forward the tradition of his Guru. Seeing the love of Guru and disciple, all the seekers should learn from their Guru where we are becoming materialistic. And are devoting themselves to drug addiction.
