Rishikesh :  During the meeting organized by the Sant Samiti Rishikesh, after the cancellation of the Act made for all the temples of Uttarakhand with the dissolution of the Devasthanam Board by the Uttarakhand Government, all the saints expressed happiness and demanded the government to cancel it in the Assembly Session.

On Wednesday, presiding over the meeting in the courtyard of the ancient Someshwar temple in Someshwar Nagar, the President of the Sant Samiti Rishikesh and the Peethadheeshwar Mahant Vinay Saraswat of Vedasthanam said that after the cancellation of the Act along with the dissolution of the Devasthanam Board by the Uttarakhand government, not only Uttarakhand, there is joy among the people of the whole country. Which now in the public interest, the government should abolish the act in the winter session of the assembly. He said that the movement of all the pilgrimage priests, Panda Panchayat and the representatives of all the institutions associated with their movement along with the saints. While it is in the interest of Uttarakhand to change its own decision taken by the government in fear of it, the government has also shown its wisdom by accepting their demands.

We will demand till then, it is not announced to repeal this law by bringing a resolution in the Legislative Assembly of Uttarakhand. He said that this victory is the victory of all the saints as well as the institutions, and Uttarakhand got rid of this black law. Mahant Rameshwar Giri, General Secretary of Rishikesh Sant Samiti said that this decision taken by the government in the interest of Uttarakhand should be welcomed.
