Rishikesh : Mob dance based on street plays and hand hygiene were organized as part of World Antibiotic Week organized at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS Rishikesh. Under the World Antibiotic Week, a street play was organized in the OPD area by the Department of Medicine and College of Nursing of the Institute on Saturday.
Under which the patients and their relatives were taught the methods of proper use of antibiotics, as well as they were warned about the physical side effects of misuse of antibiotics without any reason. On this occasion, through mob dance by nursing students, people were also made aware about hand hygiene, as well as through which the participants were told how the use of antibiotics can be reduced with hand hygiene. During this, the patients and their relatives asked the specialist doctors of AIIMS Hospital many types of questions regarding antibiotics, which were resolved by the doctors. On this occasion, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Associate Professor of the Department of Community and Family Medicine and his team organized camps in different areas of the city and informed the general public about the proper use of antibiotics, as well as the harm caused by the misuse of antibiotics.
