Rishikesh : MBBS student of AIIMS commits suicide under suspicious circumstances
Rishikesh : A second year MBBS student at AIIMS Rishikesh committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of the building under suspicious circumstances on Saturday. After this unexpected incident, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the AIIMS campus for a long time. Police reached the information and started investigation of the case by taking possession of the dead body. According to the Kotwali police, 19-year-old Rajat Mund, a resident of Ganganagar, Rajasthan, jumped from the sixth floor of the building in AIIMS Rishikesh. After the student jumped from the building, many attendants of the patients who had reached AIIMS and AIIMS staff gathered at the spot. The seriously injured medical student was admitted to the emergency ward of AIIMS in a bleeding condition. During treatment here, the doctors declared the student dead. After getting information, the police reached the spot and took possession of the dead body and inspected the spot.
Along with this, CCTV footage was also scanned to know the reason behind the incident. Senior sub-inspector DP Kala said that the deceased was a student of MBBS second year. As of now, the reason behind the student’s suicide is not clear. The Police is investigating.
On the other hand, AIIMS Public Relations Officer Harish Mohan Thapliyal told that the treatment of the unwell student was going on in AIIMS itself. The information of the incident has been given to the relatives in Rajasthan through the police.
