Mamta Rawat, a resident of Balawala, grows things herself and makes spices herself at home

Rishikesh. Young and educated farmers have also come in large numbers this time in the three-day International Spices and Vegetables Festival in Muni Ki Reti. Now farming is no longer a subject of rural environment or a hobby, but now people themselves are connecting with different products related to farming. People are growing, selling and coming to the market by themselves so that they can sell their skills and products in the market. One such an educated woman farmer is Mamta Rawat, a resident of Balawala, Dehradun.
Mamta has come to the festival with her 7 self-made products. Originally from Tehri district, Mamta Rawat is well educated and interested in farming. In Balawala too, she has cultivated her own land so that she can grow it herself and places more emphasis on organic products. At the same time, being a woman, she is also giving a different message to the society. She has come out as an inspiration for the women of today’s times, educated for the youth. Apart from social work, Mamta gives information related to farming especially to farmers and women. Praising the festival, Mamta says that the marriage ceremony of such a festival is very important in every district of the state, it is a good initiative of the government, so that farmers, women who are associated with agriculture will get a chance to come forward. On the basis of your skill and experience, you will get a platform to put the produce in front of the market and the people.
All their products are associated with spices and are self-manufactured, self-grown and then made.

homemade chili powder,
coriander powder,
Salt mix (specially made by mixing many ingredients)
lemon grass,
Curry leaves,
Neem / Curry leaves etc.
Apart from this, she has also brought indigenous chili, chili powder by making it. Along with this, they are also giving very good information about how and where to use these products. Apart from household chores, she takes time out for farming and not only does it herself, but also keeps giving information to people and farmers. Uttarakhand is in dire need of people from this side, who not only keep their assistants but also keep their skills and experience in front by giving information to other people. After modern resources, farmers are now emerging in a new form whether it is spices or other products, Mamta Rawat is also a farmer among them.
On Second day, Experts gave information about production and packaging In the Spices and Vegetable Festival-
In the first three-day International Spices and Vegetable Festival of Uttarakhand, five technical sessions were held on the second day. In which native and foreign speakers and scientists and experts of various research institutions, universities participated and shared their experiences in relation to the latest technology in the production, processing and packaging of various species of spices and vegetables. The first session of the second day was Alok Gupta Chairman. Surabhi Foundation New Delhi and reporter Dr. Suresh Ram under the chairmanship of Deputy Director Shri Hemvati Nandan Assistant Development Officer.
In this, Director ICAR-NRCSS Ajmer Dr. SN Saxena, Director ICAR-CIPHT Ludhiana Dr. Nachiket etc. gave information on value addition techniques, market system. The second session was held under the chairmanship of Dr. HS Baweja, Director, Uttarakhand Horticulture Department. In this, consultants Aditi Chauhan from New York, Sachin Vashti etc. gave information about the cultivation of Bhag and its medicinal uses. In the third session foreign speakers (Russia, Austria, USA, Singapore etc.) participated through virtual medium. In this, he discussed the topic of promoting the production of spices and vegetables. In the fourth session, the speakers explained about the digital utility through different types of experiments. The last session was chaired by Dr. Parminder Kaur, Professor of Environmental Science. In this, the speakers, concerned departmental officers and farmers deliberated collectively on the subject of agriculture. The session was concluded by resolving the difficulties being faced by the farmers in the production of vegetables and spices.
