Rishikesh: (Manoj Rautela) International Yoga Festival 2023 begins at Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh. Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen (R) Gurmeet Singh will formally inaugurate the International Yoga Festival at Parmarth Ganga Aarti on March 8. The International Yoga Festival is being organized by Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh in association with Incredible India, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Culture and Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

On the occasion of the 35th International Yoga Festival at Parmarth Niketan, Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President of Parmarth Niketan and Dr. Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati, Director of the International Yoga Festival met the journalists and greeted them on Holi. The International Yoga Festival started with Vishwa Shanti Yagya and welcomed and greeted all the visitors. Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati told that this journey of Yoga started earlier with only 16 to 18 participants which today has grown like a banyan tree and is committed to make the whole world Yogic. She informed that so far this year about one thousand participants from 88 countries have registered and 75 Yogacharyas from more than 25 countries are participating in the International Yoga Festival with their excellent styles.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati said that Yoga itself It is a journey to connect with others, and this is the message our festivals also give us. Through the International Yoga Festival, we try to spread India’s invaluable heritage yoga, incomparable culture, the mantra of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and the culture of unity in diversity to the global level, in which the media also plays an important role. Through the International Yoga Festival, we see the whole world in India and the whole world sees the whole of India on this holy bank of Maa Ganga. During this, Swami Chidanand Muni said that to save the festivals, we have to change our behaviour. He informed that Holi will be played with Upals (cow’s dung) on this. So that the environment can be saved. Smoke from wood is more harmful.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati gave a message to the seekers who came from many countries of the world to serve in the International Yoga Festival that this Yoga Festival is about grooming, carving and exploring oneself. All of you render your services as instruments of the Lord. Along with doing yoga on the mat, do yoga with each other, this is real yoga. During this, Swami Chidanand Muni said that to save the festivals, we have to change our behaviour. He informed that Holi will be played with Upals on this. So that the environment can be saved. The smoke from girls is more and harmful too. Along with the international festival, it is also a festival of the inner (soul). In special yoga practice – from 4:30 am to 9:30 pm, in which mainly Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Raj Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Ganga Yoga, Meditation, Mudra, Vedic Mantra, Sanskrit Reading, Ayurveda, Reiki, Leela Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Jivamukti Yoga, Sintoh Yoga, Sematic Yoga, Deep Yoga, Nadi Yoga and Indian Philosophy, Dance of Prana, The Root of Yama, Yoga Raag, Suryodaya Naad, Shri Krishna Flute Raag, Cosmic Heart, Ki Bhi Classes will be completed. Religious talks, curiosity solutions and quizzes by spiritual great men, religious leaders, experts, politicians from India and abroad will also be organized in this International Yoga Festival. Various cultural programs are being organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India to showcase India’s culture, philosophy, rich heritage, religious, cultural and historical importance at the global level through the International Yoga Festival.

Parmarth Niketan Ganga Aarti will be dedicated to environment and water conservation so that this message can be spread widely and the whole world can be awakened towards the problems of climate change and global warming under mission life. Today’s Parmarth Bharati Janata Party General Secretary Tarun, Gopal Arya and special guests participated in Ganga Aarti. Famous Drummer Shivmani also performerd late in the evening. Kailash Kher will perform on 9th march.
