Rishikesh : In the program organized on the occasion of World TB Day at AIIMS Rishikesh, patients and their relatives were made aware about the disease of TB. During this, expert doctors gave them information related to types, causes, prevention and treatment of TB disease. It was told in the program organized that the target of TB free India by the year 2025 has been set by the Government of India. Various programs were organized under the World Tuberculosis Day – 2022 by the Department of Community and Family Medicine, AIIMS Rishikesh. Under which PG doctors and intern students participated in various public awareness programs in the health centers of the institute, Primary Health Center, Raiwala and Thano. Poster competition was organized for PG, MPH and Interns students – students. was told that Out of the posters prepared on this year’s theme, the first, second and third place posters were displayed in the district level program in Dehradun. During this, the winners of the poster competition were awarded with certificates.

The doctors of the department met the volunteers of AAS working in the field of TB nutrition and got information about the working system of the organization.Dr. Teja, a PG student, informed about the efforts made so far in the direction of TB eradication and the challenges to be faced in the near future regarding this disease.

Under the direction of Professor Vartika Saxena, Head of CFM Department, all the programs were conducted by Co-Acharya Dr. Mahendra Singh. Dr. Ashutosh Mishra, Dr. Rohit, Dr. Abhishek, Dr. Anubhuti Joshi, Anuradha Rai, Manoj Kumar etc. assisted in the event.
