Rishikesh: (Manoj Rautela) AIIMS, Rishikesh organized the third convocation on Thursday, in which degrees were distributed to 1041 students of UG, PG, Super Specialty and Allied Science. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar and Minister of State for Health Professor SP Singh Baghel  distributed various titles to AIIMS students as chief guests at the ceremony. On this occasion, the foundation stone of the 150 bed capacity Critical Care Hospital building was also laid under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya, Union Minister of State for Health Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar and Professor SPS Baghel, President of the Institute Padma Shri Professor Samiran Nandi, State Finance Minister were the chief guests of the third convocation held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Thursday. And Urban Development Minister Premchand Aggarwal and Health Minister Uttarakhand Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat jointly inaugurated it.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Health Minister Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya said that the medical team of AIIMS Rishikesh has won the trust of the people by providing quality healthcare services in difficult geographical conditions of Uttarakhand and neighboring states. He informed that the ranking of the institute by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Government of India has also increased significantly. Rishikesh AIIMS is now one of the top 25 institutes in the country. He said dont look towards delhi, you have to take decision here, do research, practice brain storming hours as much as possible and try to get number one rank in the country.

Union Health Minister Mandaviya said that the passout students have just completed their degree in education, they are yet to learn social life and meet the criteria of the society, which is possible only with the resolve to provide better medical services. He said that the person who learns and changes in life makes progress. It is said that the day when the sense of civic health awakens in the minds of the doctors, that day money will start to seem secondary to them. He said that the passout students have a lot of expectations from their parents, teachers as well as the country, so they have to live up to their expectations. Union Health Minister Mandaviya  said that the aim in life should always be high. He told that the doctors of our country are more responsible towards their medical service profession than other countries of the world. He told that during the period of Covid-19, the doctors of many developed countries of the world did not perform their duties properly, but our doctors left their homes with commitment and continued to serve the patients day and night.

He taught the passout students that they should always be filled with emotion and sensitivity, as well as take care of the country’s sensibilities. Union Health Minister Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya said that our jawans are always ready to protect the borders of the country, similarly the 140 crore population of the country also needs to work dedicatedly for the country. He said that for success in social life, we always have to adopt a sense of duty towards the society, this is the foundation stone of life. We should have a sense of family in every work area. The Union Health Minister said that the Government of India is not just following the lines of other governments, but is trying to give its best output. On this occasion, he said that the entire Uttarakhand will get the benefit of the 150-bed critical care hospital to be built in AIIMS at a cost of more than 100 crores. During this, he duly released the research magazine and Swasthya Chetna magazine of the institute.

On this occasion, the Institute’s Executive Director Professor Meenu Singh said that at present there are about 2000 doctors serving for the AIIMS Institute, who along with medical education are also serving in the treatment of patients. Executive Director Professor Meenu Singh elaborated on the achievements of AIIMS so far. He mentioned various health facilities including hospital health services, successful trial of drone delivery of medicines to remote areas of the state, digital health facilities, Ayushman Yojana, Aabha ID, tele-consultation, heli ambulance, pediatric ICU, kidney transplant facility and telemedicine services. While doing this linked it to the achievement of the institute. Along with this, she said that more than 100 servicemen are serving the patients day and night in the hospital. She said that new doctors getting degree,  need to develop their attitude. Timely recovery of the patient also depends on the way of dealing with the patients while practicing. He told that it is the result of tireless efforts of all of us that AIIMS Rishikesh is at 22nd position in NIRF ranking of Government of India.

Padma Shri Professor Nandi inaugurated the convocation ceremony of the first session as part of the third convocation of AIIMS, President of AIIMS Rishikesh, Professor Samiran Nandi, while inaugurating the first session of the convocation, awarded degrees to medical students of various faculties.

During the session, he said that the medical profession is dedicated to serve the patients. In such a situation, every doctor needs to develop within himself a sense of gentle behavior and soft-spokenness towards the patients. He expressed happiness that AIIMS Rishikesh has completed more than one thousand research works so far. Professor Nandi said that research work has special importance in medical service. The institute is working fast in academic activities. During this, Professor Samiran congratulated the students who received medals and degrees. The nodal officer of the ceremony, Professor Latika Mohan said that 31 gold medals, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals were awarded to the topper students in the convocation ceremony.

Degrees were distributed to 1041 students at the third convocation of AIIMS Rishikesh. Students receiving degrees include 10 PhD, 495 Medical Masters, 1 MBA/MHA, 148 DM/MCh students, 230 MBBS, 39 MPH, 22 M.Sc Medical, 56 B.Sc (Hons) Nursing and 33 M.Sc Nursing and 9 Paramedical students. Will receive On this occasion, the guests of the ceremony and the executive director of the institute congratulated and congratulated all the students who received degrees, medals and certificates for academic excellence.
