Rishikesh: Dead Leopard (Guldar) found on the roadside in Gular, fear of falling from the mountain

Rishikesh: One and a half year old Leopard (Guldar) was found lying dead on the roadside in Gular in Shivpuri range. After the information of the matter, the police and forest department officials reached the spot and the post-mortem was conducted after taking possession of the dead body of Guldar. According to the Forest Department, prima facie the cause of death of Guldar is believed to be falling from the mountain.
According to the Munikireti police station, around eight o’clock on Sunday morning, the police received information that a Guldar was lying dead at a place called Kart, about two km ahead of the Guler outpost. Police personnel reached the spot, the incident was immediately reported to the officers of Shivpuri range of Narendranagar division. On information, Forest Inspector Rareeb Singh Bhandari and Forest Beat Guard Vijendra Panwar reached. The body was taken into custody. The Forest Department called a team of departmental veterinary doctors to the spot. Shivpuri range forest officer Jugal Kishore Chauhan told that the male Guldar was one and a half years old. Probably the death of Guldar was due to falling down from the mountain.
The real cause of death will be known only after the PM report comes. The body was brought to the forest division office at Munikireti. The matter is under investigation.
