Raiwala: The tourism business of Rajaji Park, which is already battling due to Corona, is once again under the threat of Corona. This could be the reason that the number of tourists in Rajaji Park was modest in the last two days. Not a single tourist came to Motichur range on Thursday.

In view of the increasing cases of corona infection in Uttarakhand and the possible danger of the new variant Omicron, the administration has become alert. Under this, random checks have been started at railway stations, bus stations, airports and borders. The direct impact of the increasing threat of Corona on tourism is visible. The number of people coming from other states to visit Rajaji Park has started decreasing. However, its exact status will be known over the weekend. Only 10 tourists came to Motichur range on Tuesday and eight on Wednesday, while the number was zero on Thaursday. At the same time, 110 tourists came in Chila on Tuesday, 32 on Wednesday and only 24 on Thursday, mostly local tourists. Strictness to follow Corona guideline

Chila Range Officer Anil Painuli said that tourists coming to the jungle safari in Rajaji Park will have to follow the Corona guide line 100 percent. Instructions have been issued for this. Wearing a mask, hand sanitizing will be necessary to enter the park. Apart from this, the double dose certificate of Covid vaccine is also being checked.
