Rishikesh : 40 Medical facility Centers will be operated in Kanwar travel area in Haridwar, Rishikesh and Tehri and Pauri 

Dehradun : Health arrangements should be kept tight during the Kawar Yatra. Immediate health facilities should be ensured to the needy during the journey. The Chief Medical Officers of the respective districts will keep a close watch on the health arrangements in the Kanvad Yatra area.

40 medical facilities will be operated in the travel area, in which health related facilities will be available. The risk of dengue increases in the rainy season, effective steps should be taken from now to avoid dengue infection. Treat dengue patients on priority. Surgeon will soon be posted in SPS Hospital Rishikesh. For ICU unit operation, 10 staff nurses and four ward boys will be deployed.

This was stated by the Health Minister of the state, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, in the review meeting of the health department organized at SPS Government Hospital, Rishikesh today regarding Kanwar Yatra. He said that the Kanwar Yatra is going to start soon in the state, so the departmental officers should be on alert. Dr. Rawat instructed the Chief Medical Officers Dehradun, Tehri and Haridwar to keep health facilities in the Kanwar Yatra area well-organized. He said that 40 medical facilities would be operated in the Kavad Yatra area under the three districts. Out of which 25 will be operated in Haridwar district and 15 medical facilities in Tehri and Pauri districts.

In which two beds reserve should be kept so that proper health facilities can be provided to the devotees under any circumstances. Dr. Rawat informed that doctors, pharmacists and ward bods would be posted in the medical facility.

Rishikesh Municipal Corporation Mayor Anita Mamgai, CMO Dehradun Dr. Manoj Upreti, CMO Tehri Dr. Sanjay Jain, CMO Haridwar Dr. Khagendra Kumar Singh and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
