Punjab : Arjuna Awardee DSP Dalbir Singh’s dead body found in jalandhar
Jalandhar: There is a stir in the police administration after the dead body of a Punjab Police officer was found. The body of a DSP rank officer has been found. A heart-wrenching news has come out from Jalandhar. There was a stir after the dead body of Arjuna Awardee DSP Dalbir Singh posted in Sangrur was found. The body of DSP Dalbir Singh was found on the road near Basti Bawa Khel Canal in Jalandhar. It is being told that a few days ago, DSP Dalbir had a fight with some people in a village in Jalandhar. Then the DSP also fired from his licensed revolver. Then the next day he reconciled with the villagers.
DSP Dalbir Singh was posted in Sangrur. Giving information, ADCP Balwinder Singh Randhawa said that he had received information on the phone about a dead body. When the police reached the spot, they found out that the dead body was that of DSP Dalbir. Injuries were also visible on his head. In the initial investigation, the police was considering it as an accident. But the post mortem report confirmed that there was a bullet injury in the neck. This makes it clear that he has been murdered. During investigation, it was found that the service revolver of DSP Dalbir Singh was also missing. However, the police statement is yet to come in the matter.
When his friends were questioned about the death of DSP Dalbir Singh, they told that after the New Year party on 31st December, they had left DSP Dalbir Singh behind the bus stand. During this time there was no guard with him. Following the DSP’s friends, the police is busy scanning the CCTV footage around the bus stand. His family members are also being interrogated. Ranjit Singh, brother of deceased DSP Dalbir Singh, told that he was informed by the police that his brother’s body was found. The police is busy finding clues about the killers.
