PM Modi’s strong message in SCO conference, said- double standards on terrorism will not work anymore

China/New Delhi:  In the 25th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi took a very clear and tough stand on terrorism. In this conference held in Tianjin, China, he said that terrorism today is not only a threat to any one country but has become a serious challenge for the whole world, especially humanity. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also present in this conference. In such a situation, Prime Minister Modi’s direct questioning of some countries regarding support to terrorism and calling it unacceptable is being considered very important

Mention of Pahalgam attack and India’s pain-

Prime Minister Modi, while referring to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, said that India has been bearing the wounds of terrorism for the last four decades. He said, “Recently, we saw the worst form of terrorism in Pahalgam. I express my gratitude to the friendly countries standing with us in this hour of grief.” Through this statement, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s pain on the international platform and told that the effect of terrorism is not limited to borders.

Double standards on terrorism are not acceptable-

In his speech, Prime Minister Modi, without naming any country, said that some countries are still openly supporting terrorism. He raised the question whether such an attitude can be tolerated anymore? “We have to say clearly and unanimously that no double standards on terrorism are acceptable. This attack was an open challenge to every country and person who believes in humanity.” His statement clearly points towards Pakistan, which has long been accused of sheltering terrorist organizations.

India’s role in SCO-Prime Minister Modi also mentioned India’s positive role in SCO on this occasion. He said that India’s policy is based on three basic pillars:

S – Security, C – Contact and O – Opportunity. He said that India has always promoted regional stability and cooperation and will continue to work in this direction.
