Pauri : District Magistrate Garhwal Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande today said as a representation of the Chief Minister, Uttarakhand, he visited the country’s first CDS General Bipin Singh Rawat’s home and met his family members in Saina, Dwarikhal, his native village, paid homage to the martyr General Bipin Singh Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat by garlanding their photos and their souls. For the peace of 2 minutes silence was observed with the people present. The District Magistrate met his family members and expressed condolences and consoled them. The District Magistrate said that the death of General Bipin Singh Rawat is an irreparable loss for the country. Said that he will always be remembered and he will always be immortal and will remain in our memory. The District Magistrate also assured their families of all possible help.

District Magistrate Dr. Jogdande, who reached Saina, the native village of General Bipin Singh Rawat as a representation of Chief Minister Uttarakhand, told his family members that he had arrived as a representative of the Honorable Chief Minister. Said that The Chief Minister himself has left for Delhi for his funeral program. He Said that tributes are being paid to General Rawat through various programs at the state level. On the other hand, in all the departments/offices of the district, the officers/employees observed a silence of 02 minutes and paid tribute to them. The District Magistrate said that General Bipin Rawat has made an important contribution to the country. Recalling him during his interaction with the family members, he said that last week he had given the blessings of the children by distributing certificates etc. to the students by participating in the convocation program of HNB Garhwal Vishwavidyalaya. He said that General Rawat used to visit the district from time to time and during this time he used to keep aware of the problems of the district and used to make efforts for the development of the area.

The District Magistrate said that the road connecting the village of martyr CDS General Bipin Rawat was prepared in the past by the Public Works Department Dugadda. He said that the work of construction of one km. road would be started soon after talks with the Public Works Department, Dugadda. he said that some construction work or other work would be done in the memory of CDS Bipin Rawat, for that talks would be held with the family and the proposal would be sent to the government. The district magistrate met to General’s family members Bharat Singh (Uncle), Sushila Devi (Aunt), Harinandan Rawat (Uncle), Santosh (Aunt), Ravindra Singh, Devendra Singh, Sanjay and Ajay Rawat (Brother), Kusum (Brother’s daughter in law) and RB (niece) expressed condolences with the family members. On this occasion, Deputy District Magistrate Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Director Information Badri Chand Negi, Tehsildar Kotdwar Vikas Awasthi and others were present.
