This programme was conducted with the blessings and inspiration of Parmarth Niketan Chairman, Swami Chidananda Saraswati and Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati. On this occasion, ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from many countries of the world also participated in large numbers. The programme started with gentle yogasana under the guidance of Yogacharya Ganga Nandini. The participants were given guided meditation. Swami Chidananda Saraswati and Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati in their divine address said that yoga is not limited to asanas only, but it is the foundation of harmony, awareness and sustainable living. They said that today is not the time for only physical development, but also for spiritual awareness and environmental balance. An interactive Q&A session was also organized in which diplomats got their queries resolved about the Indian yoga tradition and meditation methods. This special session not only became a medium for diplomats to experience the spiritual heritage of India, but also provided depth to cultural exchange and diplomacy.

The message of global harmony and peace was given in the world through yoga and meditation. The objective of this special event was not limited to yoga practice only, but to give the message of “Green Yoga”. Swami in his motivational address said that yoga is not limited to physical practice or asanas only, but it is the art of living. Yoga connects us to ourselves, connects us to society and most importantly, connects us to nature. He said, if we want to keep our body healthy, we have to keep the earth healthy too. Yoga teaches us the art of connecting our inner breath with the outer breath of the earth. Only when our outer breath is healthy, will healthy breath enter inside as well, therefore Green Yoga is extremely necessary in the present times. Swami invited everyone to participate in the upcoming Yamuna Marathon and called upon all of us to unite to protect not only Yamuna river but all life-giving rivers. He said that rivers are not just streams of water but streams of life. It is our responsibility to keep them clean and uninterrupted. On this occasion, Swami launched a unique initiative “Ek Paudha Yamuna Ke Naam”. He called upon all those living in Delhi to plant at least one tree in the name of Yamuna river. This step is not only important towards environmental balance but also a symbol of spiritual connection between us and nature. Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati said in her message that external change is possible only through internal change. When we practice meditation, pranayama and positive thinking, a sense of compassion and responsibility naturally arises. He inspired the diplomats present to incorporate the principles of yoga, balance, harmony and stability in the policies and decisions of their respective countries.
