One lakh bounty Sumit Singh alias Monu Chavanni killed in encounter

Jaunpur /Lucknow : Another criminal killed in encounter. Uttar Pradesh government is strict about organized crime. In such a situation, the state government has adopted zero tolerance to end organized crime. In the same sequence, one more criminal has been killed. An encounter took place between STF and criminals in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, in which one lakh bounty Sumit Singh alias Monu Chavanni from Bihar has been killed in an encounter. Two of Monu’s associates managed to escape. The criminals had an encounter with the team of STF Deputy SP Dharmesh Shahi. Sumit, originally a resident of Mau, was currently living in Bihar. Sumit Singh worked for Shahabuddin’s gang in Bihar. An AK-47, a 9 mm pistol, a Bolero jeep and a large quantity of cartridges were recovered from the slain criminal. A total of three dozen cases were registered against Sumit in UP and Bihar. Around 10 of these cases were of murder. Sumit Singh alias Monu Chawani had committed murders in Jaunpur and Mau as well.
