No permission to any working agency for new digging until the already dug roads are repaired: DM

DEHRADUN : For the first time, District Magistrate clubbed the permission process for all construction works, officers of all departments will sit on one table, permission will be given on the spot. People will get information about the working agency working in their area and the time limit of the work. Construction permission will be given conditionally, work will have to be completed in time: DM. Accountability fixed for pipeline leakage and repair, Jal Sansthan will do this work. New initiative started in the state, new item created for leakage and repair works. Dehradun: “Immediately improve the road after construction work, only then will permission for new work be given” District Magistrate Savin Bansal said this in a meeting held with working agencies in Rishiparna Auditorium. The District Magistrate took the complaints of incomplete construction and potholes on the road, water leakage seriously and called a meeting of the concerned officials. Action will be taken on digging the road without permission. The District Magistrate clubbed the permission process of all construction works. People will get the name of the working agency working in their area and the time limit of the work. The District Magistrate fixed the accountability of Jal Sansthan for pipeline leakage and repair in the district. For this work, the District Magistrate has taken a new initiative and created a separate item, so that the departments will not be able to complain about the lack of budget. The District Magistrate has simplified the permission for construction works, now the decision will be taken on the same table under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate, by the officials of the concerned departments like Police, Traffic Police, PWD, etc.
The District Magistrate said that permission for new works will be given only after the incomplete construction works are completed, with the condition of completing them on time. The District Magistrate expressed displeasure at the blame being put on each other for the delay in road improvement in the meeting and directed the departments to work in mutual coordination. He said that the departments should participate in the next meeting with complete details and work plan. The District Magistrate directed the officials to work in mutual coordination. He directed the Public Works Department officials to coordinate with the concerned departments and submit area-wise details for permission for construction works. Also, all the implementing agencies were directed that they will submit the work details to the PWD for permission for construction works, on which permission for road digging has to be taken. He directed the Jal Sansthan and Drinking Water Corporation to complete the JJM works in a time bound manner. The district magistrate gave permission for work on the remaining 150 meters of Raipur Road sewer line and directed to complete the work in a time bound manner and improve the road. Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Jai Bharat Singh, Superintending Engineer Jal Sansthan Namit Ramola, Superintending Engineer PWD, Superintending Engineer PWD Jitendra Kumar Tripathi, Superintending Engineer Electricity, officials of UUSDA, BSNL, Smart City and officers and personnel of all other related implementing agencies were present in the meeting.
