Narendra Nagar: (Manoj Rautela) Energy Day is celebrated today on 14th December. UREDA i.e. Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) Narendra Nagar Office organized a speech, essay writing and painting competition today at the Community Building Municipal Council Narendra on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day. During the programme, Essay writing and Painting competition has been organized at the school level in all the secondary and Junior High School level. Schools and selected entries have been invited through the block level at the district level, which will be evaluated at the district level and the first, second and third positions were given. An amount of Rs 200, Rs 1500 and Rs 1000 respectively will be provided to the receiving students through DBT.
The main objective is to conserve renewable energy and disseminate information about it from schools to the general public. Along with this, instructions were given to promote the use of clean energy and reduce the use of conventional energy as well as to include energy conservation in their habits. The competition was organized in two categories, junior and senior.
In the program organized at the district level, the program was inaugurated by Madan Mohan Dimri, Project Officer, Ureda, CL Suman, Principal RIN Ka Duadhar and Dinesh Kumar, Principal RIN Ka Agar. Speakers in the program directed to promote the use of clean energy and reduce the use of conventional energy as well as to include energy conservation in their habits. During this period a rally was also taken out in Narendra Nagar city. During this, students of many schools and NCC cadets also participated. During this time, teachers, staff and Dr. Ram Gopal Gangwar were also present along with officials of UREDA.
