Mumbai : Team India announced for ODI and T20 series against England; Rohit, Virat and Bumrah make a comeback
Mumbai : The BCCI has announced the Indian team for the T20 and ODI series against England. Rohit Sharma will remain the captain of the team in ODI and T20 series. The limited overs series will begin in Southampton on 7 July and end on 17 July in Manchester. The good news for the Indian team is that regular captain Rohit Sharma, who is battling Corona, will lead the team in the white ball series. Star players Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, who were rested for the T20 series against South Africa and Ireland, have returned.
Players playing the fifth Test against England will not play in the first T20 match to be held on 7 July. But players like Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah will be part of the second T20 match. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has returned for the three-match ODI series against England, while opener Shikhar Dhawan has been selected in the squad for the ODI series. Fast bowler Umran Malik has managed to make a place in the T20 series against England. However, he is not a part of the ODI series. But Arshdeep Singh, who performed brilliantly in the IPL, has made it to the ODI team.
