Maintenance, renovation and conservation work of the third Kedar Shri Tungnath temple starts



- Before preparing the DPR, the CBRI team reached Shri Tungnath and completed the geotechnical survey

Shri Badrinath – Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has intensified efforts for the conservation and renovation – maintenance of Shri Tungnath temple, famous as the third Kedar, located at an altitude of 12074 feet above sea level. BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi said that the team of technical experts of Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) has completed the geotechnical survey of Shri Tungnath temple on Saturday, 30 August. After analyzing the survey report, DPR will be prepared and on the basis of the report, the work of maintenance and maintenance of maintenance will start as per the DPR.
BKTCC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi informed that Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) Roorkee is preparing a detailed project report (DPR) on the request of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) for the construction and developmental activities of the third Kedar Shri Tungnath temple. Earlier, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Geological Survey of India (GSI) and CBRI have also visited Shri Tungnath temple area.
