Lucknow/Dehradun : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the concluding program of Uttarakhand Mahotsav 2021 organized by Uttarakhand Maha Parishad at Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Cultural Auditorium, Birbal Sahni Marg on the second day of his Lucknow tour. In the program, thousands of migrant Uttarakhandis associated with Uttarakhand Mahaparishad gave a grand welcome to the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
During his address in the program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that today will be written in golden letters in the history of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that he had requested the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, to “divide it like it is between a younger and an elder brother, and not between two states and he accepted our point wholeheartedly”. Expressing gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said that the issues which could not be resolved for more than two decades, have been resolved today by mutual consent.
The Chief Minister said that the state agitators (Rajya Aandonkari) have played a special role in the formation of Uttarakhand and the government is making constant efforts to make Uttarakhand the dream of those agitators. Welfare schemes are being run in the state for women empowerment, youth and people belonging to every field. The Chief Minister Dhami said that recently the State Government has started several welfare schemes including Covid-19 package of 600 crores, Ghasiyari Yojana, Vatsalya Yojana as well as Mahalaxmi Yojana. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, all-round development of Uttarakhand is taking place. Work is going on in Kedarnath-Badrinath Reconstruction Work, All Weather Road, Rishikesh-Karnprayag Rail Project, Tanakpur-Bageshwar Rail Project, one lakh crore schemes including AIIMS Satellite Center in Kumaon region. Calling upon all the migrant Uttarakhandies in the program, the Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all the people should participate in making Uttarakhand a prosperous, empowered and a center of spirituality.
During this, the Chief Minister announced a grant of 21 lakhs to organize this Uttarakhand festival more grandly. Apart from this, ₹ 2000 award to all the artists in Uttarakhand Mahotsav, sending proposal to the Central Government for running Lucknow to Ramnagar train, and also announced the establishment of a cell at Uttarakhand Bhawan Gomti Nagar to solve the problems related to Uttarakhand in future.
Thousands of migrant Uttarakhandies were present in the program including Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Swami Yatiswaranand, MP Professor Rita Bahuguna Joshi, MLA Rajesh Shukla, Bharatiya Janata Party Uttar Pradesh Vice President Dayashankar Singh, Uttarakhand Federation President Harish Chandra Pant and General Secretary Bharat Singh Bisht.
