J&K : Major Attack on Terror in Jammu and Kashmir, Security Forces Killed Five Terrorists in 36 hours
Jammu & Kashmir : In the last 36 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces have killed five terrorists. Security forces have killed two terrorists in an encounter that took place in Hardumir Tral area of Awantipora on Saturday evening.
Earlier in the morning, two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in an encounter by security forces in Shopian district. At the same time, a terrorist was killed by security forces in an encounter in Anantnag on Friday. Apart from this, four terrorists were also arrested by the security forces. A few hours before the encounter in Awantipora, two terrorists were killed by the security forces in Shopian district. A police official said that on receipt of intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Chowgam area of Shopian.
During this, the terrorists hiding in the area opened fire on the security forces, after which the security forces also retaliated and the operation turned into an encounter. Two terrorists were killed in the encounter, the official said. The terrorists are being identified, and their organization is being traced. At the same time, a terrorist of Hizbul Mujahideen was killed in an encounter in Anantnag on Friday.
