J&K : Big success for security forces in Valley, 4 terrorists killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian
Srinagar : Security forces have got a big success. Four Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in an ongoing encounter between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday.
Jammu and Kashmir Police has given this information. Jammu and Kashmir Police in a tweet quoted Kashmir Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar as saying, “So far four local terrorists of banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba have been killed in Shopian encounter. Search is still on”.
The incident is from Jainapora area of Shopian. In fact, as soon as the security forces reached the place where the terrorists were hiding, they came under heavy fire. In retaliation, the encounter started. When a joint team of security forces cordoned off the area and based on specific information about the presence of terrorists, a search operation has been launched.
