Gorakhpur :New flight started from Gorakhpur to Varanasi (Banaras), Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and CM Yogi virtual joined

Gorakhpur : Inauguration of new flight starting from Gorakhpur to Varanasi, Pipraich MLA Mahendra Pal Singh and MP representative Yaduvanshi joined through virtual medium. The air service started on Sunday under the ‘UDAN scheme’. With the start of the flight service from Gorakhpur to Varanasi, the number of destinations connected to Gorakhpur has increased to 08 and the total number of flights to 12. The state government is making continuous efforts for the expansion of civil aviation facilities in the state with the help of the central government.

If seen, there has been a huge expansion in the field of aviation in Uttar Pradesh in the last 5 years. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the launch program of the new flight starting from today for Gorakhpur-Varanasi from Lucknow through virtual medium. This air service is being started under the ‘UDAN scheme’. In this program, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia participated from Gwalior. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Road Transport and Highways, General Dr. VK Singh (Retd.) will also be present.
In the last 5 years, there has been a vast expansion in the field of aviation in Uttar Pradesh. As against 4 airports functional in the year 2017, 9 airports have become functional at present. It provides air services to a total of 74 destinations.
