Goa : British woman raped in front of husband, accuse arrested
Goa : An incident of rape of a married British woman has come to light near Sweet Lake, Goa’s famous Arambol Beach. This incident happened a few days back. Now Pernem police has arrested the accused person.
According to the police, the accused Joel Vincent D’Souza is a resident of the same area. On June 2, he committed the incident of rape with a middle-aged woman when she was resting on the beach. The accused raped the woman in front of her husband. The victim and her husband filed a case against Joel on Monday. After registering the case, the police immediately took action and arrested the accused. The accused is part of a local massage group. Their group had offered to illegally offer massage service to people on the beach. When the police checked the records of the accused, it was found that he was earlier working as a school librarian.
According to the report, after the incident, the woman contacted her family members in Britain and told the whole thing. Then he sought help from the British Embassy in India. After getting advice from home and embassy, the couple filed a case at Pernem police station. After the matter reached the embassy, the Pernem Police Station took prompt action.
