Amritsar : Actress Kavita Choudhary passes away, got household recognition from TV serial Udaan.  Actress Kavita Chaudhary died on Thursday at the age of 67 due to a heart attack. The actress gained recognition by playing the role of Kalyani Singh in the 1989 television show “Udaan”. The death of the veteran actress was confirmed by her nephew in an interview with The Indian Express. His last rites were reportedly performed on Friday.

Kavita’s nephew Ajay Syal told the media that “She died due to cardiac arrest at 8.30 pm on Thursday. She breathed her last at Parvati Devi Hospital in Amritsar, where she was undergoing treatment.” While talking to the media, actor Anang Desai also said, “I came to know this morning that Kavita is no more.” She died last night. this is so sad. She was our batchmate at the National School of Drama. We studied together in NSD for three years during our training. Kavita, I, Satish Kaushik, Anupam Kher, Govind Namdev were together in the same batch.”
Kavita Chaudhary was battling cancer

According to a media report, Kavita Chaudhary’s close friend Suchitra Verma revealed that the actress was battling cancer for years. During her last visit a year ago during chemotherapy, she looked in great pain. He said, “I am sad to lose her and never got the chance to meet her. Suchitra said, “I never knew that her condition would suddenly deteriorate so much.” While talking to the media, actor Anang Desai also told that ‘she had cancer a few years ago, we have met even after that, but she wanted to keep it personal, so we never talked about it. She was originally from Amritsar and died there. I had talked to her about fifteen days ago when she was in Mumbai, at that time her health was not very well. Her close friend Suchitra paid tribute to the late actress on Instagram along with a picture of herself and Kavita Chaudhary.
