Delhi:National Herald Case: Rahul Gandhi will appear in front of ED on the second day
New Delhi ; Rahul Gandhi will be questioned today in the National Herald money laundering case. Rahul will reach the ED office at around 11 am. The ED has questioned Rahul for more than 10 hours on Monday.
As a precautionary measure for Rahul’s appearance in the ED, the Delhi Police has closed Akbar Road to prevent Congress workers from protesting. However, today the gathering of Congress workers is less visible. At the same time, Congress leaders will put their point in front of the media first. Congress leaders continue to come for this. Also, apart from the Congress office, the police have also barricaded around the ED office.
Apart from Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi has also been summoned by the ED this month for questioning. The ED had registered a money laundering case against these leaders after the trial court took cognizance of the Income Tax Department’s investigation report against Young Indian Pvt Ltd.
In fact, during the ED’s interrogation on the first day, many times high voltage drama was seen, all senior Congress leaders sat on dharna outside, while many Congress leaders like P Chidambaram, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, KC Venugopal, Deepender Hooda and Jairam Ramesh Adi was taken into custody and was also taken to the police station in buses.
